Proper use of the word “its”, you’ve just made me fall deeply in love with you all over again. Marry me?

I get it, yeah. And this novel/ book comparison is possibly my biggest example.

But I could have stressed more that the movie, in and of itself, is good. It's just that when compared to the novel, I get irritated. :)
And, like I said, Shelley Duvall is impressive to me in the movie. I "felt" for her and cared about her. Nicholson's "Jack Torrance"? Not at all. And that was the whole point of "The Shining" novel for me -- the reader cares very much about "Jack."

I do highly recommend that TV mini-series version of "The Shining" with Steven Weber in the lead role.
    :)

I so quickly let myself "sail away on the 'C' " that I simply forgot, until now, my better answer :

    F)  Johnny Nash!!

What a voice! One of the clearest singing voices I've ever heard.
I was 11 years old when I first heard Nash. His music greatly bettered my life in literally countless ways - - and he continues to do so. The hours and hours I would listen to him. I've yet to ever tire of listening to him.

Nice, I’ve heard this song before but never knew who sings it. I like it.

    I'm glad you like it.

Unfortunately for me, radio stations tend to play Jimmy Cliff's cover way more than Nash's original.

The Jimmy Cliff cover isn’t so bad... just be glad they don’t repetitiously play the Holly Cole version!!!!!

I love Johnny Nash!!!  A bit of trivia: he also sang the theme song for the 1960s cartoon The Mighty Hercules.

I had NO idea! :)  Thanks for sharing, bevo!  He kicks some major rear end in that theme song! (I never saw the cartoon, I don't think.)

    I love Nash, too.

Nash is almost a god to me. He changed my life, his voice and music helped me through some tough times as a youngster. I would just listen and smile. I still do. :)

Alas, I've never seen the cartoon either.  I just learned the trivia sometime after I first became introduced to Johnny Nash while watching 8-Track Flashback back in the 90s.  Have you ever seen the actual music video for the song I Can See Clearly Now?  Search it on YouTube and check out his cool 1970s boots :D

I found videos with him singing (and enjoyed watching all of them) but when I got to this one, his boots told me this is the one you wanted me to see.

    Yes, nice boots!
    :)

Thanks, bevo. My heart is so heavy. Nash was, and is, a life changer for me. Ever since I was in fourth grade, the first time I heard him.
I'm still weeping about it. I found out last night from Randy D on another question.

Thanks for sharing here, I appreciate it.

    :)
    Be Well.

    A) Cash

I'll take the cash, please.  Oh, wait, was this supposed to be a poll about music or something?

Thanks, I might use some of that money to get a new car, or not!
