While Melania may have "recovered" she has a persistent cough, a lingering symptom which is the hallmark of the virus. DIDJA KNOW?

Fuzzy thinking. Aches and pains. Damaged organs. You have survived it and "recovered" but your life has changed forever because you now have permanent damage.

SIGH. Well soon many more will know firsthand. Lucky them.

Forever????  The virus has not even been around for a year at this point.  Hard to say forever yet.

True ... though the Mayo Clinic lists "long term" organ damage possible, based on observed patients.

Certainly....anything is possible.  But way to early to claim forever.

The virus itself may be a transient thing (provided that it doesn't kill you) - but organ damage is permanent. It may heal or may not. If that organ is the brain, damage to that isn't fixable. The brain does find new pathways, but anything stored in the damaged lobes is gone.
If that happens to His Royal Orangeness, nobody will know - he acts that way anyhow.

If it heals it is not forever damage.

The standard criticism of tautologies goes like this: because of the the fact that tautologies are necessarily true, they do not tell us anything new about the world. They cannot possibly be wrong; therefore, they do not add to our knowledge. They are redundancies, and they ultimately do not need to be stated.

    They can be amusing though.

I occasionally come across people who think that having the last post when they and another have constant disagreements has some intrinsic value.

I've never understood why they have thought that---although I knew one guy in the Ask.com "community" who actually thought that meant he was winning our constant debates.

I once had a moderator who was also a poster tell me that all the moderators looked forward to reading my posts to him.

Numbers mean nothing; truth means everything.

Would you rather I ignore you?    I generally reply to everyone who replies to me.

Any comment or post I direct to you is what I consider my obligation to the truth, not anything for my direct benefit.

As you say, feel free to scroll on by.

If you reply to me...I likely will reply.   As likely your "truth" will require it.

And if it does not heal, it is forever - at least as far as the life of the patient is concerned. Quid pro quo.

True. But at this time it is way to early to claim permanent or forever damage.
