      Sure!  In order to best prepare yourself for the literary task at hand, you might want to read up on topics that can help show you the right way to . . . hey, wait. Grrrrrrrr.

    Let's see...

    The Dictionary defines self-help as "the use of one's own efforts and resources to achieve things without relying on others."
    In other words, helping oneself.  Now, the Dictionary defines helping oneself as, "to serve oneself as much as one would like".
    If you're in a store and help yourself, it's called "shoplifting".

    So, technically, a self-help subject would be shoplifting.
