As far as the most special bf, the last thing he did "for" me was leave me.

But I think his leaving may have been more "for" him than "for" me. So much for his much-said "We'll be together forever."

    :(

His leaving wasn't so happy for me.
But, he's a great guy. I always wish him and his husband well.
    :)

And that Welby, is a good reason not to depend on other people to keep you happy rather unfortunately. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at November 24, 2020 6:19 AM MST

    Yes, true.

I try not to depend on any outside persons/places/things/circumstances alone for my senses of happiness and serenity.

The former guy in my life is doing well. I always wish him well.

My wife made a very nice salad for me today at lunchtime.

[It’s best that she did, too. Had she not, I might have had to sneak down to the basement where I have several sandwich-makers sequestered in hidden cells living in comfortable quarters. Cough, cough.]

My gal friend came to spend the day with me last month for my birthday party. She brought balloons, cake and her cat Hunter along with herself.

Your GF has a cat hunter? Does he make slippers with their skins?

Har Har... No actually he's a Hunter cat. He catches mice and tans their hides to make slippers.

Yesterday he helped me refit a gate to a stable.
It halved the time it would have taken to do it on my own.
