I have no fancy occasions like balls or first nights at the opera.

Dressing up, for me, is as simple as getting out of farm workwear,
and putting on something casually elegant to wear into town, to visit friends, or at poetry or literary readings.

In summer, it looks something like this: indigo, high-waisted, wide-legged, light linen trousers, plain black sandals, bag and cotton T-shirt, peach-coloured linen shirt hanging open,  turquoise jewellery and watch-band, and a peach and turquoise woven straw hat.

Hey, hey, hey, hey, HEY! Watch it there, Pal! That’s the second time in a week you’ve drifted off of your path. JA will not be happy. Grrrrrrr.

Too numerous to name. I have a fondness for the dashing look, and any event, occasion, situation or circumstance that requires elegant, professional, business, formal or impressive attire, I’m there. I think I’ve owned fewer than five pairs of jeans in the span of my entire lifetime, and some of them have languished on the hanger in the closet for months without being donned. In the office setting, I was always “buttoned down”.

    Work
    Church; regular services, weddings, funerals
    Dates
    Live recitals or theatrical
    Certain school events
    Ceremonies
    Some family gatherings
    Certain travel events
    And so on . . .

    (Great question, by the way.)

One, she’s the lady on the date.
Two, my answer encompasses more than just my current experiences, which means my single days also.

I'll wear my "good" jeans to church, but that's about as dressed up as I get.

Sorry have never been very dressy. Best I can do is appropriate.  Never had much of a fashion sense and  I think I only look good in a only have a limited number of looks that really work for me.

I don't do that in this reality or any other for that matter. I'm a tee and jeans kind of guy.

The last time I got 'dressed up' was for my son's first wedding. After that polo casual at all occasions. Jeans at a redneck wedding.

The ritual dismemberment of a corrupt politician proven to have made false promises to the electorate. The one on Thursday will be my one hundred and fourth. I really shall have to pay another visit to my tailor soon, this suit is starting to look a little shabby.

I haven’t any “occasions” in quite a few months. So, I’d have to say my pj’s for watching TV.
