I never tire of watching my dogs, so I guess if I have to choose a favorite, it's them.

Good choice. I love living with my cat, too, but I still chose birds at which to gaze in wonder.  :)

I agree that they're wonderful to watch. Somewhat of a distraction for me whilst driving, though!

Yeah, I've got to be careful on the driving part. :)

Meant to come back to reply but forgot til now. And now I'm falling asleep. Will hopefully remember to come back soon and write more, here and down on your other comment. :)

Yeah, I was just saying how I prefer not to drive, if there's a competent alternative!

You're falling asleep and I just got done dancing to some 90s tunes! Hahaha!
(Yes, I was one of those kids who got a burst of energy just before bedtime!)

    Have a good rest!

Oh, I always forget to look at when things are posted. Well, not always, but most of the time!

That's a bummer, to get home so late! I hope you don't have to be there early tomorrow.

    It's all good. :)

Another long day. But I enjoy everything I do.

And thanks for being probably the only one who caught my " 'come out' and play" joke answer -- let alone like it.  :)

I enjoy most of what I do. Some things, not so much. But, as Stevie Nicks sang, "Sometimes it's a bitch, sometimes it's a breeze"! But I definitely love and am very thankful for my job!

It was a great and funny joke!!

Cats - although they are evil bastards, they can be highly amusing, largely due to the fact that they have no sense of humour. Put a cucumber behind a cat when it is eating. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at September 28, 2022 7:18 AM MDT

The only thing cats are good for is eating.

It is quite common here to see eagles. I have seen them flying high over our house and we are ten miles from Maumee bay.

    Very cool.
    I've seen a couple here.

I really like seeing vultures, too - - at least, what I assume are vultures.

I like to watch crows a lot, too.  Watching crows do anything has lays appealed to me. I like their seemingly strong self-confidence. :)

Large birds up high, flying -- stops me in my tracks and I just stand there and watch. Pure beauty to me. :)

Have you witnessed sandhill cranes migrating? I've videoed them in flight and the sound is incredible.

I love how great blue herons fly. They look like pterodactyls.

Pelicans are very high on my favorite birds list. And great horned owls.

I saw swans and egrets today. And two hawks that seemed to be dancing. It was a very good bird day for me!

I wouldn't know all of those birds by sight, most likely. But I know I'd probably like to watch all of them. :)
I've not seen sandhill cranes, I don't think.
