Have you ever caught anything by speaking nicely to it?

Eg.. an animal or a bird or a snake or another human...

    Yes.  That's how I got my cats.  My big cat was a scared, 8 week old kitten, barely the size of my hand, meowing in the woods.  He did NOT want to be "caught", and was determined to stay out there.  however, after a lot of sweet talk, he finally got close enough where I could grab him.  He's now 16.  My little cat was feral.  It took a LOT of sweet talk just to get him to come close enough to pet, and a year to get him to come in the house.  He's now 9.
