    That is historically normal on Inauguration Day.

    Because the news hyped up there was going to be violence today. And when there was not the market reacted positively. 

    Twitter however is down about 20% since banning Trump.

    Element is right.  Also, the market must feel less uncertain about the foreseeable future.  Of course, for the market, the foreseeable future could be very short.
