Sarah Sander is doing the proper thing. If it is an issue, the people have a right to know your position before you take office.

I wish I was in ARK so I could vote for her.

(It is an issue in Ark as last as 2019...there was a bill that was prohibiting sanctuary cities. I do not know if it passed) This post was edited by my2cents at January 26, 2021 7:54 AM MST

2nd question..."Didn't the prior guv already do that?"

No he did not. It failed.  Voters are entitled to know a candidates positions BEFORE the election.

Why are you asking a second question when you haven't answered the first.  I'll ask it again:  Are there any cities in Arkansas that are sanctuary cities?

That is the original question's 2nd question.

I am not asking it. I am answering it.  The issue matters because they attempted to pass the bill in 2019 but it failed in the House.  So NO the former Governor did not handle it. So it is still an issue the people of Arkansas want to a candidates position.

You can dance around all you want, but you haven't answered the question of whether there are any sanctuary cities in Arkansas.  If you don't know the answer, then all you have to do is say, "I don't know."

Nope I answered the 2nd question asked....

The statement in front of the first question (Right?) Implies than Mrs Sanders should not bother having it in her platform because there iare currently no sanctuary cities in Ark at this time.  But given that it was a recent bill shows that it is issue relevant to the voters of ARK.
And then explained that the people of AK should know the candidates position. This post was edited by my2cents at January 26, 2021 12:59 PM MST

You answered the second question, but you didn't answer the first which was, are there any cities in Arkansas that are sanctuary cities?  You don't know the answer, but you needn't go on any further because I answered that for you.

Just because I did not address the question does not mean I did not know.
I chose to address the 2nd question and the implication that it should not be part of the candidate's platform.   If the statement saying there were no sanctuary cities were incorrect, I would have lead with that. But it was correct so no correction needed. This post was edited by my2cents at January 26, 2021 1:25 PM MST

Uh-huh.  The first question was asked a number of times, yet you overlooked it completely and added a second question of your own to cover your tracks.

There are two sentences in the OP but there is only one question:

"There are none in Ark. Right?"
You created the second question!  And now, I'm done with this because you I am unable to make you understand.

The second question is in the description field.
I did not put it there. It was there when I first seen the questions.

It did not pass the Arkansas legislature in 2019 and, as of October, 2020, there were no sanctuary cities in Arkansas.

I don't know about Arkansas ... but Oregon has a few.

I don't know how that is legal or Constitutional, because what they are saying is "We don't agree with this law, so it won't be enforced in our jurisdiction."

That violates "Due Process" and "Equality under the law".

We don't even give churches the "right of sanctuary" in America.
(fleeing to churches didn't protect anybody under "sanctuary" - it protected them only because the government was unwilling to send officers into the church to arrest the person.  It was purely PR.)

If you don't agree with a law, you work to change that law through legal means.
But I guess that takes too long for our "sound bite" society, so let's all just do whatevahthehell we want.
