Absolutely. I have made some in the past that were the best...but you have to like the Kosher ones to appreciate them.

Pickled beets, and sweet mixed pickles only. I do not like dill pickles. Bread and butter pickles in sandwiches are great.

I like the beets...I put them in my pickled eggs. I am not a fan of sweet pickles, though.

Yes! Pickled eggs are great too. Especially when they are free at the bar.

I remember that. No longer, though.

I’ve never liked beets in any form.

I think you and I grew from the same food preference tree.
Add beets to our "food agreement."  :)

    Lol.

I’m the same way with squash, okra, kale, Brussel sprouts, water chestnuts, watercress, any and all dried/dehydrated fruits and vegetables, etc. Yuck!

When we were kids, mom used to serve okra. We called them 'snot bottles', and nobody liked them except mom.

I love bread and butter pickles on any kind of cheeseburger, hamburger, (and sloppy joes with a slice of provolone cheese on the bottom that gets "melty").

I even posted a question on the site one time about saying I thought I was the only human who preferred bread and butter pickles on hamburgers/cheeseburgers as opposed to dill. Why restaurants only serve sandwiches with dill, I don't know.

I like the bread and butter type also, it’s delicious. I will only slightly tolerate eating dill pickles every now and then, but not often.

That sounds sort of fascinating. Sounds like it might be good.

I eat kosher and barrel pickles regularly.  Someone mentioned beets up in the thread.  I eat beets more days than I don't.    I love them drained, cold, and sprinkled with vinegar.

I seem to have lost my taste for them.  I used to like kosher pickles with corned beef and/or pastrami sandwiches, but I don't eat those any longer.  I do love beets, though.  Nothing better on a hot summer day than cold beet soup (borscht) with a dollop of sour cream and the beets at the bottom.

Most definitely!!!!   I grow the cucumbers and my sister pickles them.

Pickled onions are really good too.
