    C.  Depends on time of year and your location.

Ants hibernate in the winter, so in colder climates they haven't emerged yet.

If they are out in your area, it will depend on the type of ant.  Bigger ants are slower, thus it will take them longer to descend on you (8-10 minutes).  Smaller ants are quick ants will be up your pant leg with in 2-3 minutes.

Note: ants have communal memories, that is memories are passed down from one generation to the next.  So if you've ever harmed, irritated or killed an ant anytime in your life, the ants will remember this.  So when they come, they may not only want your food....they may want revenge.  (and since revenge is sweet, it will attract other ants....)

Other. Ants don't seem to bother with me outdoors. That's because they are indoors eating the cat food. Flys are a pain, though. Isn't Miracle Whip just mayo with a few extra ingredients?

I don't recall ever being troubled by ants trying to pinch my lunch.

    It's usually wasps, instead.
