It's a guy thing - or more specifically a little boy thing. Some guys never grow out of that.
Andy Griffiths wrote a trilogy of books aimed at pre-teen boys absolutely LOADED with toilet humour - and it had the desired effect, it got them reading (and sniggering to each other). The Day My Butt Went Psycho and two sequels. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at April 10, 2021 1:27 PM MDT

I LOVE Andy Griffith. Know what street we live on in Hemet? MAYBERRY. I kid you not. The address was what drew us to this house to rent. I can't imagine Andy offending me. We watch MATLOCK reruns and the Andy Griffith Show. Years ago he had a TV series about harvesting space debris or something. The one thing that shocked me was his portrayal of Lonesome Rhodes. A Face in the Crowd I think was the name of the movie. Didja see it? Anyway "the day my butt went psycho" is magic stuff. Who is not going to pick it up and read some? Gender be dam*ed! Full speed ahead! Thank you for your informative reply! I appreciate it! :)

Andy GriffithS. Different guy, the one I'm talking about is an Australian schoolteacher-cum-children's author. Similar background to Joanne Rowling, but he noticed that a sizeable majority of his students who were into Harry Potter, particularly the later books, were girls. He wanted to get the boys reading, and toilet humour was how he did it.

Did you enjoy a certain scene in the movie 'Blazing Saddles'?

Haven't seen too much of Mel Brooks that I haven't enjoyed. My favourite one of his is Spaceballs. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at April 10, 2021 1:27 PM MDT

It's just silly, and I've somehow managed to maintain the same pathetic sense of humour for 40+ years. How could anybody not see the humour in this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZkgS3LpyNI

It's not as bad as insulting each other. I've never understood how that's supposed to be humour.

Not sure if this is toilet humour but once I was rolling a doobie in a stale in a public washroom - a guy walked into the washroom and judging by his shoes I thought he was a cop. The guy said - it smells good in here and I thought it was a trap so I said - um I just farted. Cheers and happy weekend!

It is a gambling saying which means rolling craps in a illegal dice game held in a horse stale at the racetrack. Cheers and happy weekend! This post was edited by Nanoose at April 10, 2021 1:32 PM MDT

Toilet humor has a long history.  The world’s oldest recorded joke is a fart joke.  It was found on an ancient Sumerian tablet.  The joke itself wasn’t that funny, but the fact that the world’s oldest known joke is a fart joke makes it funny.
