Why do you post your questions here on answermug?

Given you can look anything up on Google, and can get tons of opinion from other, more popular, social media -- Why do you post your questions here on answermug?

Many questions here can't be found on Google. For instance "What is your favourite (anything)?" or "Why do people ...?" There are many other examples. Read them and find out. Also, you will find that many of us do not use social media. We are anonymous by choice. This post was edited by Element 99 at May 14, 2021 10:37 PM MDT

Simple questions belong on your search engine rather than here.

Same reason why you posted a question on answermug, Google doesn't always have the answers.

For the same reason people climb a mountain - because it's there.

Answermuggers are all professional question answerers who can provide a personal question answering service for anyone  who needs good legitimate answers to any questions.

    No trolls.

huh, reminds me of that text service from the early early 2000s; KGBKGB or Knowledge Generation Bureau.

    Do they hire?

Yes they hire BUT right now they are under a class action lawsuit for failing to pay a lot of wages they owe to former and current employees.

I never really thought about it except that I've been here a really long time going back to my Answerbag days. A bunch of you m/f's is cray-cray, but still, your answers interest me.

Is answerbag related to answermug -- like directly not just format and purpose?

When the original answerbag shutdown many of us found our way here.  But no they are not connected in any other way.

I think most of us like the interaction with other people.   Without being personally identifiable.
