None of them. I never read children's literature. My first books were a set of science books.

I thought and thought  -- (I read your question a couple of hours ago)  -- and I realized: I've never wanted to be any fictional character in any kind of art. I might admire characters but I didn't want to be them.

I realize he is not a literary character but the closest to my wanting to be a fictional character is Daffy Duck.
Even younger than twelve years old, I admired his never-waning self-confidence. No matter what predicament he found himself in, his self-confidence (and senses of humor) was always strongly intact.

    :)

(Another long non-answer from WQ, ha!)

Now THAT is someone I'd like to have been --  one of the living dead in the original "Night of the Living Dead"!

He said "Donald" and I corrected his error, but then he deleted his original reply that said "Donald", so it deleted my correction, too. Just FYI, in case you missed it.

I don't know why he's so obsessed with appearing to be perfect. I wonder if he wanted to be Mary Poppins, too!

    Lol.

First of all, mon amie, I was remiss in not acknowledging your apt correction of my error, and equally remiss for failing to thank you for catching it and informing me of it. Secondly, my quick deletion of the post to hide my misstep was in poor form. You were right and I was wrong.

Okay, who are you and what have you done with our Randy D?

Or.... did someone slip you a special brownie?

Ever since a little guy, I always liked this song possibly the most in the movie. I think we have talked about this before.   :)
