Does your area have a drought situation?

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.  Water levels are low in some of the area's water reservoirs.  As such, the area's municipalities and counties recently advised area residents of mandatory and voluntary water restrictions.

For the last few years we have been in a border line drought situation.  A lot of the water wells around here have dried up so people have to keep getting them  drilled deeper and deaper. By mid July we will likley see water shortages because there wasn't very much snow in the mountains - a lot of our summer drinking water comes from melting snow. Cheers and happy weekend!

More like a blue and green neighbourhood - we can see the ocean from here and we grow a lot of weed. But the local yokels are pretty tight knit. Cheers!

  • Yes. I'm in Sacramento. Rainfall was about 45% of average this year. Reservoirs are low, temperatures are high, and the wildfire season is probably going to be bad.

I’m about 500 miles south of you here in San Diego, where year by year, we’ve been in increasingly worse drought conditions for about an entire decade.

I vote we build a water pipeline from the Mississippi River to California. Big business in California can fund it.  Wait! What! All the big businesses have been driven out?  Oops too bad! California loses again.

No.  It's pouring rain here and we are expecting rain for at least the next 10 days according to weather.com.  This is our rainy season.
