I did not have any lasting friendships during my school years. As such, I did not go to any of my class reunions.
Nope. I have quite happily spent my entire life since high school without ever again speaking with or laying eyes on approximately 99% of the students I knew then. The one notable exception is that when I was in my last week of Marine Corps boot camp (a 3-month stint back then), I saw Jeffery S. there, who was in his very first week. It was a brief encounter of just a few seconds, and I never saw him again during all the years I stayed in the Corps, not at any of the various bases or ships where I was stationed.
I joined the Marines right after high school and have never lived in my hometown since. Even if I had ever received word of any reunions, which I did not, I would not have attended for any reason.

Not at all. Similar to Zack’s answer, there was no love lost there. I was never part of the “in” crowd. I was
“not Black enough” for the Black students, who made up more than half of the student body, and I didn’t fit in any among other groups, sects, crowds, factions, segments, demographics, etc.
