Fortunately, I'm not affected by lack of sunlight.  You should get yourself an ultra violet lamp.

I have one, SAD just snuck up on me before I had a chance to use it.

As long as you have one, you can use it to prevent SAD by sitting under it before it comes upon you.

Not much for me really. Sitting inside watching the rain coming down in buckets imparts a kind of romantic sensation to myself somehow. Then when the rain lets up later on during the day I feel a bit of disappointment. Falling snow and drifting snow I enjoy watching too but not as much.

When I had to go and work outside in the cold and rainy days day after day for weeks in winter would get to me.

  • I don't have depression in the winter, but the end of September and the beginning of October is the worst time of the year for me.  It's spring where I live.  I'm allergic to pollen.

Feels. My daughter is asthmatic. In some ways it's worse to see a loved one suffer when you're powerless to help, than it is to suffer yourself.

  • I feel sympathy for her.  The trees are in full bloom now.  This is the most painful time of the year.

I'm suffering from a lot of mental illnesses, and that's probably one of them.
