Chess. It still is. I learned it young from an uncle who was very good at it, and I also became good at it. University champion.

It depends who I was playing.

If it was my cousin ... I didn't like playing any board game.
No matter what it was, he always won.
The worse were CLUE and STRATEGO ... he would win in under 5 turns.

Anybody else, I enjoyed playing LIFE.

I loved, and excelled in, Chinese Checkers.

We played every board game you can imagine when I was growing up.  My own family had games on the dining table a good part of the time as well.  There is nothing that requires power to compare.

Way too many board games I loved for me to pick just one.

Both Mom and Dad played the games with us a lot. but more so, we three siblings had a blast playing together. That's probably why Mom and Dad got so many board games for us -- they saw how much we adored playing.

In this order, which is also the order in which I learned how to play them: checkers, chess, Chinese checkers, Monopoly, Battleship (I’m not sure if that last one counts as a board game). My elder brother loved the game Sorry, it was his favorite.

I never played chess, but I did play the others. Another one I liked was Stratego.

Probably either Clue or Aggravation, but I'd play any of them.
