I had typed out a long answer about why this is my favourite Christmas song and how some people I know / have known don’t consider it a Christmas song but I just deleted it Cos I was rambling :) anyway, this is my pick. Best Christmas song ever IMO.

I like that song!  It sounds like a Christmas song to me, even though I don’t remember ever hearing it included with Christmas music on any radio station’s Christmas playlist.

This is the first time I've heard that song.  I like it.

"But it don't snow here, it stays pretty green"

That makes me think of Christmas.  My Christmases are filled with things you would recognize, such as lights, decorations, Christmas trees and opening gifts.  My Christmases are also filled with hot weather, barbecues and swimming in the pool.

It Must Have Been Love (Christmas For The Broken Hearted)

This is the original 1987 version that I’ve never heard included with Christmas music.

I didn't know that was a Christmas song.  Our radio stations play the Spanish version of that song.  The Spanish lyrics don't mention Christmas.

Christmas is not in the English version of lyrics either.

Not sure why this would have a Christmas under title.  Not a Christmas song. Does not say or mention anything about Christmas. This post was edited by my2cents at December 18, 2021 1:49 PM MST

The original 1987 version of this song is about being alone on Christmas day in the lyrics.  The 1990 version, the one that gets played on radio stations in the USA (the one you’re thinking about), does not mention anything about being alone on Christmas day in the lyrics.

Sorry, I missed the one line in it.

"And it's a cold Christmas day. I dream away...."

Radio version is "cold winter's day."

To me still not a Christmas song any more than Die Hard is a Christmas movie.  :) This post was edited by my2cents at December 18, 2021 2:34 PM MST

I’m in the camp that believes “Die Hard” is most definitely a Christmas movie.

That’s what made me think it would be such a perfect answer for this question, lol.  Now it’s time for me to relax and get into the holiday spirit by watching a Christmas classic!

    *scrolls down*

    *clicks on Die Hard*

Thank you.  That is also music I heaven't heard before.  I watched their other Christmas music videos on Youtube after I watched this one.  I like their versions of Christmas songs.
