Do you use a private search engine, such as DuckDuckGo?

If you use DuckDuckGo it's time to change.  They just announced they are going to censor information THEY CONSIDER to be misinformation.     Their privacy policy  indicates they also save your searches.

This site has great alternatives:     https://restoreprivacy.com/private-search-engine/

I used to use DuckDuckGo, but I’ve switched to using Qwant for the same reason.  DuckDuckGo’s censorship of search results really isn’t news in the tech world.  They’ve been doing it for some time now.

It's news for them.  They just made the announcement last week that they were starting.  They were bought out in the past couple years.  Qwant is a good one.  France. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at March 13, 2022 10:17 AM MDT

They might have made the announcement last week, but they’ve been censoring search results to conform to their political viewpoint for more than a year already.  I remember reading about that more than a year ago, so that’s why I switched.  I read in the same article that Qwant’s search results were politically neutral.

It's good to use one that is under the legal jurisdiction of a foreign country.

    Reason #1:
Internet privacy is important to me.

    Reason #2:
I want uncensored results and news stories from all points of view.

    Reason #3:

    I use Brave.
I used DDGo for bit but did not like the results.

I watched the series Terminal List and the main character was all don't use your phone, keep it in airplane mode, use proton mail.  But then later in the show, he is shown using Google.  Lol
