Do some people in Russia make Putin jokes and cartoons like some people in America made Trump jokes and cartoons?

Is there an SNL in Russia making fun of Putin like the SNL made light of Trump in America?

Not unless they want to risk going to prison, or worse.
Remember that Putin ordered the assassination of his political rival.  On foreign soil, even.

I know they had a Vladimir Putin joke-telling contest in Moscow recently.  The winner got 25 years.

They do but they are not very funny and they are  all  potato or beet based.

    Example:

Russian #1 - What is  Putin's dogs name?
    Russian #2 - Its potato.
    Russian #1 - nyet .
    Russian #2 - It's beet.
Russian #1 - Dah. But what is the dogs name?

For the Russian who immigrated to Canada, I don’t think it’s a laughing matter.  They must be seriously conflicted about their love of poutine.

If there are people in Russia with a sense of humor, they would have been doing it from the very beginning. However, from the footage I've seen, Russia is a very dreary place and I have no idea how anyone could have a sense of humor about that.

Putin meets a Russian spy at a bar and she was wearing a low cut dress. Putin says I like your potatoes and the spy says - its moles. (moles as in planted spy's)  Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at March 14, 2022 11:50 PM MDT
