For any particular dances* that have actual names, which is the one you dance the best?

*Not moves within a dance, but the dance itself.

Waltz. Like most guys, I can't "freestyle" and I'm even worse than most.

Unfortunately, I can no longer do physical things like dancing. When I did have normal movement, I was not very good at dancing. The only reason I'm posting here is because when I was an adolescent, I took ballet. I could only take it for three years due to scheduling difficulties. Even though I wasn't very good at that either, the muscle use, balance, and posture stayed with me up through my 50s. Even today, when I do my feeble, old lady exercises, the proper posture and use of muscles is still there.

One of the reasons that the training was so effective may be the woman who was my teacher. She was a recent immigrant from Russia, a place where ballet was a national art form. She didn't even speak English. I credit her for the long term effects of her training because she was like a drill sergeant barking out the positions in French. If your motion wan't correct, she would walk over to you and physically put your body in the correct position. I'm sure it doesn't sound like something an adolescent would enjoy, but I did. It was a challenge and it made me feel strong.
