Other than the salary, what are some reasons you’d accept legal, gainful, and meaningful employment at a job paying $175,000* USD** yearly,

AND for which you have absolutely no qualifications? There can also be an attractive set of benefits that normally go along with such a high salary.

*Or its monetary equivalent in your country if it is not the United States.
**USD means United States dollars.

I'd accept because it's meaningful employment, maybe, all depends on what it is, how many hours a day, total day per week, and what my employment expenses would be. The problem is I'm too close to my expiration date to have time to spend it.  There has to be a catch to it, fine print and all.  I'm not looking for employment, my fiancé would not approve.

I failed mind-reading, you have to state just what meaningful employment means.

Because I got elected to Congress. US Congress members earn a base salary of $174K.

I did not know that about the congressional salary. Originally when I thought of the question, I was going to put $150,000 instead of $175,000 as the amount, but I changed it because it occurred to me that some of you might already make that much per year.  (Grrrrrrr.)

It's the only job I  could think of that pays that much and you can be totally unqualified.

hahahaha, I could do that.  I'd be willing to join Congress however I'd take my position seriously.
