What is the last thing you regretted eating? Why did you regret it?

I avoid processed food and rarely eat sugar, so I don't know what came over me. This tasted fake and left me feeling slightly queasy. It probably also caused my headache.

Mayonniase. It was decades ago, the regret was that I utterly despised the taste, so it’s how I became anti-mayo from then on. Grrrrrrr.

Footnote: the are a couple of other foods that can be substituted in that same sentence. Grrrrrrr.

Just try it again.  Your taste buds may have evolved.

Just try opening the door the next time I come a callin’. Your taste in men may have evolved.

A bite of a premixed salad. It had cilantro in it, which, to me, tastes like soap. I almost gagged.

“. . . an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato.”

    With apologies to Señor Dickens.

That would taste better with a side of guacamole.

That second helping of jambalaya last night.  I was too full and hate that feeling.

I was so disgusted with myself.  I never buy candy to take home because I know that once I start, I don't stop.  Glad I didn't have to go for blood work after that because my sugar level would have been through the ceiling!

I used to eat candy bars all the time, now I never eat them.  When I'm on my death bed, I want Mars bars dark chocolate, ice cream, cheese cake with raspberries on top and all the good stuff I've given up.

I can only be good for so long before the urge becomes too great and I give in, but this was even too much for me!

A similar thing happens to me. It causes severe multiplication of the restraining orders that get filed, but such is life. Grrrrrrr.

I did this once with Reese Cups that I bought for Halloween.  It was many years ago but I still vividly remember such an embarrassing accomplishment.

What’s even worse is when there is a lot of candy left over after Halloween. It’s been more than a decade since we have participated in Halloween, but in the past when we did it, there were certain years when there was candy left over, and even some instances when no children had come to the house at all. That leftover candy, especially when it was the full stockpile, was undeniably tempting. So much so that it was always impossible to indulge.

For me it would be impossible to not indulge.  When I was a kid I thought adults didn't really like candy, but then my sister and I found some BabyRuth and Payday bars hidden in the flour bin.  Candy bars were so big back then that mother would buy one and cut it into four pieces so we all had a piece.  I remember that giant Butterfinger....no way could I eat the whole thing.

It was as though there was this giant magnet in the bag that kept pulling me into it.  Talk about gluttony!
