Something went wrong.  This isn’t the custom graphic T-shirt I ordered online.

That would be a serious answer for me, but this question would’ve been a lot easier to answer if it didn’t have (Humorous answers, please) in front of it.

My husband and I don’t wear political clothing of any kind.  We’ve never had political signs on our property either.  My husband does have a Henry C. Santini for governor in ‘22 bumper sticker on his car.  A few people actually get the reference.

Unless it stood for Make Ansley Grandma Again?

I haven't a clue where chat has disappeared to now, so can't reply.

I can't believe you could read and respond to questions! It seems to be fixed now, mostly.

It is sincere for me, but I've come to be able to just laugh and shake my head at them!

I do not get the reference.

It’s obscure movie trivia from the 1973 dystopian movie about the future, Soylent Green, which happens this year.  It was actually yesterday when the detective discovered that Soylent Green was made out of people and opened his investigation.

Henry Santini was the governor of New York and a board member of Soylent Corporation’s parent company.  He was running for re-election in 2022.

Okay, I've heard of Soylent Green, and that it is people, but I didn't know it was a movie! I know it from an SNL bit in the 80s or 90s. I remember that Phil Hartman was in it. Or them, there may have been multiple sketches about it. I never understood it, obviously. Hehehe!

That is a funny bumper sticker, now that I know the backstory!

Interesting note. I have seen the film but had not known its climax would be 2022!

It's not the first dystopia to pass its supposed future of course. 1984 - novel and film - has come and gone with that year although not without parallels that have come to pass ('Alexa', anyone?).

At least we won't be around to see a similar passing with Robert Harris' very different form of future-dystopia novel, The Second Sleep. It is set in an England 800 years ahead from our present, recovered to a condition analogous to life some 300 years before our present; after an unknown apocalypse in our present! Why unknown? If I tell you, it will spoil it.

(Got that? There will a test later!)

I agree wholeheartedly. What you and I share is better described as lust than as love.

A Liberal Party t-shirt. Ironically, they're the conservatives down here, all of the small "l" liberals like yours truly are Labor Party devotees - except for the woke millennials and Gen-Zedders who hang out with the Greens.

    Stiletto heels!

Why? A little occasional skirt-wearing in the privacy of one's home is one thing, but there are limits; and stiletto heels would damage my carpets and wooden kitchen floor, would stick in the lawn, and be hazardous when using a machine-tool in my little workshop.

    .

    Oh, and a hat.

No, not one bearing political or any other symbols; but one particular, woollen hat.

It was knitted for me by a dear friend with whom I do exchange small Christmas presents; and I've not had the heart to tell her that its style and flecked grey and purple colours would have suited my Mam or Grandma better than me. This post was edited by Durdle at March 8, 2023 1:19 PM MST

Any garment that has a brand name or logo visible.

Although that's not humorous, that Randy used an actual photo of himself to post his question is very amusing!
