I really never speed anymore.  I did when I was so very busy all the time but not now.  I do drive three-four mph over the speed limit on the Interstate highways when traffic is light.

My daughter had a serious asthma attack on the freeway. Under normal circumstances, I'd call an ambulance, because they bring the hospital to the patient, but in this case I couldn't have told them with any degree of accuracy where I was - "somewhere between the Callington and Mount Barker turn-offs" isn't useful. So I floored it to Mt Barker hospital. Had the police intercepted me, they would probably have provided an escort.
I do know I was doing at least 180 kmh on the straight (speed limit is 110), I don't know how much more because the speedometer didn't go any higher.

    Procrastination.

    Forgotten deadlines.

    Traffic delays.

    Excitement.

I was running  in the 200-meter dash (or any sprint running event) -- I wanted to win.
