At the moment, I was unable to ask my question in 140 characters or fewer - - regardless of how much I adore Daffy Duck


Instead of endless TV and radio commercials about prescription  drugs that we need "to ask our doctors about," and 80% of the ads are monotonous listings of side effects, can't we go back to beer and cigarette commercials?

    "Ask your doctor if (name of drug) is right for you"! My question is, are there really that many ignorant people (suffering from these various conditions) that makes it economically sound for these drug companies to spend so much money on such advertising? Anyone who feels the need to recommend or suggest a medication to their doctor/specialist should be looking for a more competent doctor.

    I can't wait for December 7th when the time to enroll in those Medicare supplement policies is over.  I don't offend easily, but the one with the 75-year old named Martha who appears in a housecoat wearing glasses, the frames of which would be too large for the Jolly Green Giant, and who is nasty and argumentative is probably the worst.  The second worst is the one where Allen's wife is yelling at him for not calling to find out about Part C plans.  They portray her as a shrew.  If she's so concerned, why doesn't she call herself?  

    The other commercials I cannot abide are the ones from Lume.  The gynecologist who invented this magic deodorant that can be used anywhere on the body, but, of course, it's slanted towards women.  The latest one show someone sniffing the butt of another person to show how effective the deodorant is.  Disgusting.

    I'm telling you, it's classless.  I have to mute the TV when her commercials are on, especially the one where she tells you how much a person smells after a shower, after a shower using Lume and two days after a shower without Lume.  Who did the research for that one?

    The Lume ads are gross. I looked up the ingredients. Zinc is the least of their worries. There was stuff I couldn't pronounce.

    My husband asked me who is smelling these people to see if they stink....who wants that job? 
    Then he saw the commercial with the person actually stiffing, 'I guess they heard my question.'

    I read the ingredients to that Lume stuff. It reads like a witches brew of unpronouncable herbs and chemicals.
