      2. The houses of the judges have who presided over my restraining order cases
      3. Slart’s house (but only on the side furthest away from the Vegemite pantry)

      Er, um, I hope you realize that a) incorrect grammar is the exact point of the cartoon, b) that the entire cartoon is rife with one grammatical error after the other, and c) I did not post the cartoon, so there is no real “gotcha” moment.

      There are at least three grammatical errors on the sign. One of them is the error that you have stated quite often trips you up.

    South Stack Lighthouse in the UK
    The lighthouse, which was built in 1809, is supposedly haunted, so I wouldn't be lonely!

    A nice place on the beach.  It all depends on what my abilities are as a ghost. If it's a hassle to float around and a struggle to pass through walls, then I'll take a nice small cozy place on the beach.  If all is good and easy then I'll take a nice big place, the more rooms the better.  I'll need space to spread out to chase my BFF around and around and around.
