Trumpicans: Do you ever get tired of making excuses for him?

He lies. He prevaricates. He tells untruths, whoppers, porkies, falsehoods and fibs. He makes promises he has absolutely no intention of keeping, to get votes.

Now, having secured a second term, he's walking those promises back BEFORE EVEN BEING SWORN IN.

I hate to say it, but I told you so.

I've been called having TDS. At this point, in some ways, I'll now proudly proclaim it. Also, proudly, I've not gotten a vaccine for it either.

I can see BDS in some humans, too.

    ;)

EDIT: my answer is intended with humor

I get tired of correcting the lies about him, yes.

Have something specific so I can correct you? This is toooooo broad.

He said he would build a southern border wall and Mexico will pay for it.  The check is still in the mail.

"A day before the 2024 election, he delivered a final message to his supporters at a rally in Pittsburgh, "A vote for Trump means your groceries will be cheaper."

""It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."

    Ok.
Mexico did not write a check, but they did supply thousands of Mexican soldiers to help secure the border. That alone was more monetary cost than than the wall cost.

Again, you have to listen to the entire quote.
Trump energy policies etc and fixing the supply chain issues will bring not only grocery prices but most things down.

    Here is Trump's answer:
"Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard. But I think that they will. I think that energy is going to bring them down. I think a better supply chain is going to bring them down. You know, the supply chain is still broken. It's broken...."

Did Mexico pay for a wall?  No, they did not.  No context to be taken there.  They did not pay for the wall Trump was going to build.

I know the entire quote.  It is likely that if Trump over-tariffs other countries, they will do the same to us and the cost of living will increase, not decrease.

They paid to help secure the border. I do not and did not care who pays for it, I just want it secured.

We will have to see how the tarriffs work out.
So far, Canada has agreed to further secure the northern border. This post was edited by my2cents at December 30, 2024 1:19 PM MST

You asked for examples of what he promised and didn't come through on and I said the border wall.

And I explained MEX paid more to secure our border than the cost of the wall.

HE PRIOMISED TO PUT UP A WALL.  HE SAID MEXICO WOULD PAY FOR IT AND THEY DIDN'T.  STOP ARGUING WITH ME.

Mex paid more for the soldiers to secure the border than we paid for our wall.  We came out ahead of the deal before Biden and his administration blow up our secure border.

I'm talking apples and you're talking oranges.  Keep being stubborn and I'll make a complaint to JA.  I've about had enough of this nonsense.

You are alway free to talk to JA.

You may require Mex to write a check to pay for the wall for you to consider Trump's statement as true. But I am fine with them paying THEIR military to secure OUR border in lieu of an actual check.

And we are each free to have that opinion.

Nope, I mean OUR southern border.  Mexico deployed their military to prevent people from leaving their country into the USA.....

You're right and so am I, they have troops at both borders. And we can see how much good it's doing.

They stopped under Biden. So yes, we can see how effective it was under Trump.  This post was edited by my2cents at December 31, 2024 7:50 AM MST

This may sound odd to you, but I don't need your permission to talk to JA.

You may be entitled to your own opinion, but you aren't entitled to your own facts.  The fact is, Mexico did not pay for a border wall. This post was edited by Spunky at December 31, 2024 7:43 AM MST

I was not giving you permission.   As you said none of us need it speak with JA.

As I said we are entitled to our opinion on if they paid for the wall.   And the fact is Mexico spent more to secure our border than we spent on the wall.  I am fine with that. You are not.  We are both entitled to our opinion on that. This post was edited by my2cents at December 31, 2024 9:41 AM MST

Ask politely and I might. But I don't see why you think it's too much trouble to pick, say, the first one on the list or feel free to pick any or all of them.
