Are there any restaurants or take-out places where you have a "usual"?

I never thought I would, but today I walked into my favorite burger joint and right as I approach the counter before I can place an order, the man behind the counter says "hamburger with avocado?" and I couldn't help but smile. I hadn't been there in two months even and he seems to know my order by now. My life is getting predictable :P

    if i go to a chinese place, its always chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and mixed veggies.

    I have during certain periods had " a usual."  I don't like to eat away from home very often now so I have no usual in my newish place of residence.    The closest is the place where I had dinner tonight with family and friends......a local fish house.  I always gets fried shrimp when I go there.  I never use ketchup from a bottle in a restaurant.  I use very little but when I want some for my potatoes I request some "to go" packages.  I noticed tonight that the owner brought some "to go" packages to me before we ever had the menu.

    No Nevan, I usually never eat out unless circumstances force me...I prefer home cooked food;))

    I'm the same way.  I enjoy fresh pure food and the only way to get it is to cook it yourself.  I would like to grow some of it too.  I keep saying that but I haven't acted.  Soon.

    Yes Thrifty Maid, processed food is full of preservatives better to eat fresh....we have a lovely kitchen garden back home...I do miss it....too!

  • I love to cook, but I also love trying new restaurants. I like all different cuisines, but I can only cook a limited variety. I'm always adding new recipes though :)

    Oh, the problem is I'm very fussy about my food, I hate experimenting with different cusines but my hubby, he's a great experimenter;))

    Not a restaurant, but a pub. I go to the Somerset with my better half, as soon as the barmaid sees me she pulls a pint of Cooper's Pale Ale and mixes a vodka sunrise - the beer for me, the cocktail for her.
