In the medical profession you have the General Practitioner(GP) and then you have Specialists. What is the Lawyering equivalent to a GP?

    I say that a "lawyer" is the GP. Lawyers can become board certified (a specialist) or can simply restrict the types of cases they take to certain fields of law.

    In UK, a solicitor is the GP.

    Sounds so classy Malizz! Solicitor. Swanky. I think we have Solicitor Generals in the US  but I'm not sure what they do exactly. I will have to Google it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday.

    There are a great many branches of Law. One of the biggest is Inheritance laws.

    I looked into it once and found that people do not exist as legal individuals untill they are born, before that inheritance cannot pass to a living person through them, etc. etc.
