What type of music do you have the hardest time listening to?

The kind that blares out of the car next to me at a red light. 

I appreciate all music, and i especially appreciate you Just Asking, for making my day a better place to be in for asking questions i know how to answer. Im not good at politics and am really having a good time right now. Back to my answer. Religious music and heavy medal are kind of hard on the ear, but other than that, im ok with all music. :))

I listen to a wide variety, but I don't seem to listen to much improvisational jazz or heavy metal. 

Anything with words in it I suppose. I really try to listen to the lyrics, but the music just gets in the way. I can listen to one or the other, but not both. It's why jazz and classical music is so enjoyable to me. Hardly any lyrics at all.

Whatever I am not in the mood for.

I am never in the mood for:

Satanic music

Most rap

Most hip hop

Most Top 40

etc etc etc.  But every now and then even those categories surprise me.

I like almost all music.. but I struggle with, jazz and classical.  I like some classical, just not fond of piano or anything that goes soft then all of a sudden goes mad and loud.. makes me jump - has to be soothing or noisy not both!  I have always thought that there must be some jazz I like, but I just don't know enough to know what kind of jazz I like.. But there was some on the radio today that reminded me of the sort I hate... goes on and on in a kind of pointless way.. I did learn to love blues music :)

Anything with lyrics that advocate violence or denigrate women. 

"Music where the band and the vocalist compete to see who can be the loudest."  (it goes by many names)

Even though it isn't music...rap.
