Is a 3-minute call worth it at all? How long SHOULD a condolence call from a prez to the family who lost a loved one in war last? Why?

    You seem to have some idea as to the proper length of such a call if you think that 3-minutes isn't appropriate. Perhaps you base your unsaid opinion on what past Presidents have done? So what do you think?

    The President of the United States of America is a representative of the American people. He should respect military soldiers for their sacrifices to defend our country and keep us safe. 
    When soldiers die in service, a President should want to, out of instinct call their families and give his/her-hopefully someday soon :) his condolences.
    The quality of the conversation is important. The President should be empathetic to the great loss of the solider's family. 
    The call should not be an obligation that the President feels like he has to do.

     Thank you for your thoughtful reply ally and Happy Sunday. Some people are caring about the pain of others and some aren't. It isn't something you can pull off well if you're not able to put yourself in someone else's shoes. :)
