What on earth happened to cause a once very distinguished American who used to be someone..a contender...to turn?

Mike  Flynn's fall from grace is a disgrace. Anyone know what caused him to change so? Mental breakdown? Moral breakdown? Spiritual breakdown? He spent years putting his life on the line for his country. The he changed allegiances and worked on behalf of Turkey and Russia. What earth-shattering event caused it? Or was he always that and the mask was torn off when the opportunity presented itself?

    There is no evidence that he worked on behalf of anyone.

    He is accused of not filing paperwork correctly on Turkey and making an inaccurate statement about a conversation with the Russian Ambassador.

    Even npr admits that there is no evidence of disloyalty to the U.S.

    He pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and the Vice President.  Is that what you call making an "inaccurate statement."  Another one with alternative facts.
