At my age (Born in the 30's) I take one day at a time...  Not bragging or complaining..

I believe taking one day at a time is wise at any decade of birth.

You're driving me to an early grave carbon!! It would have been 36 years according  to my calculations -10 according to your original and -2 more with your second.  If you don't stop soon, I might die before my next birthday this year!!  Ahhhh!!! ;) This post was edited by Merlin at January 8, 2018 7:12 AM MST

For some reason I just think I'm going to die at 86. My Grammie lived to 98 and Don's Grandma died a day before her 100th birthday. Can you imagine making it all the way to the day before you were 100 and THEN have the bus come by? What a drag.  I don't think I've lived a pure-of-life as these two ladies.
I looked at that by CallMelshmael and I thought it was just talking about how to tell how your investments would mature... not you!! I must have read it wrong... giggles!

It may be 76 at birth, but once you've lived a while, the expected survival age should go up to take account of your actual survival to date, unless you've hit a health problem bringing it back down again.

Thanks Malizz. I feel a little relieved now. I kind of wanted to see my three year old grandson become a young man. ;))

It is too late for me, someday didn't happen. I'm resigned to the fact however.   This post was edited by Sunshine at January 8, 2018 7:13 AM MST

Not sure.  My original warranty expired in 1972 (my parents were too cheap to spring for the extended warranty).  However, considering my current mileage, minor scratches and dents on the chassis, and overall wear and tear on the 'tires and engine', I should have at least another 20 or so years left (assuming I don't meet any "wrong way drivers" on the road of life).

My three score and ten are up, so I suppose I'm on borrowed time. An actuary might give me up to 15 years, discounted to allow for mild diabetes.
