I love many types of cheese, but I always have to acknowledge that my very favorite is sharp white cheddar.  I love the soft cheese too, such as Havarti.

I like all types of cheese too :)  Sharp white cheddar is one I rarely think to grab but am always happy when I do.
Pastrami, Havarati on an onion bagel is one of my favorite treats.  I rarely have them any more sense I've learned about nutrition BUT it still is one of my favorites.  Oh with Dijon mustard too!  Thanks Thriftymaid :) :)

(Emmental) I tried it and was disappointed. It was too mild. I prefer A locally made Guggisberg big eye. It is sharper and nuttier...Especially at room temp.

I didn't realize you posted under JakobA.  I've never tried Emmental or Emmenthaler, but I will now that it has been brought up.  Good to see ya!  :) :)

Try the Guggisberg if you can find it. Make sure you get the 'big-eye'. It has been aged longer and is more pungent than the 'baby'.

Huge smiles!  Reason being? Before I put on my glasses, I thought you wrote "Elementhater."  I thought, "My!  That doesn't sound like JakobA nor does it have anything to do with cheese!!"
Element may be cheesey at times, but that's one of the reasons we love him! I"m so glad I found my glasses :)  I've never had this cheese.  I'll have to try it.  Thanks JakobA :) :)
P.S.  I'm so glad you don't hate Element.

'Best' is a personal choice. Favourite is different. Currently I have in my fridge a smoked bacon-cheddar, Guggisberg Swiss, a dill Havarti, some smoked Gouda and a very sharp Bleu. None of them are my favorites; I enjoy them all and I am always looking for something different to try. Last week I bought a type I cannot remember...One bite and I threw it away; it was foul tasting.

When you think of cheese as a general, it can turn many people's stomach.  I, on the other hand, like the cow-to-curd product.  I do like Havarti and having it dilled sounded delightful.  As I wrote under Thriftymaid, one of my fav's is an onion bagel with Havarti, Pastrami, and Dijon mustard.  Dill would be the perfect additive!  Yumm!  Thanks Element :) :)
