How to save a life?


The song kills me in its quiet, gentle power.

The video is powerfully made and perfectly cast to me.

    Back in the early 70's, I had an opportunity to 'save a life'.  I was with some friends stopped along  a back road and with my keen ears, I heard cries for help coming from under a nearby train bridge. None of my friends heard anything, but I went over and investigated. A boy of about 10 had fallen off and landed on solid rock about 40 feet below. If not for my hearing, he probably would have died of his serious injuries that included both legs badly broken. He survived and went on to live a full life.
