Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Would YOU vote for someone dignified, intelligent, thoughtful and sensitive to the feelings of others for prez? Why?
No, that's not enough. Someone can have all those qualities and still be a terrible leader.
Principles matter more than people's feelings. All political decisions hurt people. It's impossible to avoid doing harm. Leadership is volunteering to shoulder the moral responsibility of that. It is impossible to be sensitive to everyone's feelings. Some people have unjust feelings and they should be ignored.
Leadership is about upholding both compassion and justice. Overemphasis on compassion is a device used by those who wish to subvert justice.

It's good to know at least one person realizes the type of leader it is necessary to elect in order to assure the preservation of our democratic republic.
It's likewise good to know at least one person is out there who realizes it too tom. Kinda lonely though ain't it? SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)
