    From Wiki "King tides are simply the very highest tides. They are naturally occurring, predictable events."

    I found no precise definition but that would be at the apex of the 'leap tide' cycle that tend to peak when Sun, Moon and Earth are in alignment, Ie: at the start of a new moon or when the moon is fullest.

    Dont trust the moon cycle too much though, Details like the shape of your local coastline can delay the time of maximum tide by several hours

  • So I’ll take it then that the media is really making a bigger deal out of the street flooding in Miami Beach that they show, making it look like the new normal, and that Miami Beach is actually going underwater right now, when that’s actually not the case.
