How are you at memorizing songs?

      Meh, so-so. I usually have had to listen to a song a zillion times before I knew all the lyrics, and even then, there are only a couple of dozen I know by heart. I changed it to the past tense above because I haven't even listen to any new music after the 1980s and a couple of years into the 1980s. That means that my favorite songs are from the mid to late 1960s up to the early 1990s, with emphasis on the 1980s.

    Not too bad, a very mis-spent youth, I think. I'd listen to songs over and over in my bedroom. It turned me into a lyrics nut and I still am such today. Love lyrics; there's something so powerful about combining words with music.

    Yeah, there was this one song that used to be one of my favorite drinking songs. I never knew the words or the music because, you know, I was always drunk when they played it. Boy, you just can't beat those old drinking songs!

    I'm older now and I have researched the words to that song. Here they are:
