Do you feel sad when you go home from vacation? If so, why?

When I come home from a vacation I feel blue for two or three days.

No because wherever we go I would always rather be home.

I never had a vacation that was particularly glorious so getting back home was ok where I feel more relaxed.

Where do you go for your vacations anyway.. heaven?

I'm in USA now on vacation.  I'm visiting my cousins here.  I go home next week and I'll miss them.  They're fun people.  I'm with my cousin in South Dakota now.  She has a beautiful large house that's 11 km from the closest town.  My small apartment doesn't feel the same way.

That's fairly normal. I sometimes feel that way when coming back from our Tahoe house.

I rarely feel happy nor sad...vacations or not. This post was edited by Element 99 at June 14, 2018 5:33 PM MDT

While contentment is good, lack of any variation in happiness level seems off.  I'm going to tell you a sad story as soon as I think of one.  :)

"Not necessarily."  Some vacations work out, as planned, and some don't.

I'm having a good vacation but I had some travel disasters.  I forgot to turn on my VPN so now I'm blocked from my bank account and my email.  It's a little thing that makes a big headache.

As most of my vacations have been spent on two wheels, I try to think of my vacations as adventures.  Adventurers are supposed to be prepared for anything ... so rather than kick myself, I try to think of what I should be doing.  It helps me anyway.  :))

2 wheels on vacation, 18 wheels at work, eh.

I never much cared about being like the Joneses. I've always enjoyed being different ... well, maybe not as a teenager.  They can be brutal!

I'm the same. That's why my wife's friends aren't fond of me.
