    Ive been there and am extra cautious about going any deeper than my knees when entering the Ocean. ;)

    I don't even go to the beach anymore.  I have few wrinkles for my age and I'd like to keep it that way. :)

    Same thing with me. I just rode it out until I surfaced. You can't fight it as panic will ensue.

    Yes, very much so.  One of the reasons I never go out in the wild water without flippers on me feet. 
    I've also been caught in a rip tide and had to swim sideways to get out of it. My heart still pounds when I think about that one.

    once when i was a kid i went to this camp with my brother and sister and we went to the beach and there was a tidal wave and a lot of us got pulled by it, me and my siblings got taken out, wonder if the other kids did too
