    Obsession is a huge part of your personality.  With that being known, I would be frightened you would start obsessing with and about the counseling. This, in turn, would defeat the whole purpose.  Soon we all (including the councilor) would be frantic with obsession.  Like the word obsession is in the topic of this answer....
    Obsession, I think is the big clue. 
    For these reasons, I would decline dangling the idea of counseling in front of you.
