Do you like to make yourself 'to do' lists, and do you actually follow them?

I kinda like making them, or more, I worry I will forget stuff and I like to be productive.. I always give myself massive, 'to do' lists at the weekend, which is probably a shame, and at the start of the summer break I have an enormous list of stuff to catch up on.... I usually manage to do most of it too and that is a good feeling.

Boy do I EVER make myself "to-do" lists, or maybe I should call them "don't forget to do this" lists. I'm like you....if I DON'T have a list, I will most likely forget some things that I really NEEDED to do, but got so caught up doing other things that I forgot the most important ones!! A lot of times it may be phone calls that I need to make, but since businesses don't open early, I'm doing too many other things and forget the phone calls I should have been making!!! And like you say, I mark them off the list as I accomplish them.....that may be so I don't do them again, ya' think?....;-)

The distractions drive me crazy, too!!! I hate it when I'm in the middle of something and the phone rings. I have to go get my list back out when I get off the phone, lol...

No.  The only lists I make are shopping lists.  I'm not saying I don't forget to do things, because I can walk out the back door and instantly forget why I went outside.  Besides, if I did make a to-do list I'd probably forget that I made it ... let alone remember where I put it.

I have to make to do lists or I forget what I have to do. I have short term memory problems.

a to-do list only works if you remember to take it with you and then remember to look at it.

A recipe is a to-do list. You know what? Hot cocoa tastes odd if you forget to put vanilla in it!

I have mine placed on the hob top in the kitchen... or on my computer where I can see it and refer to it.. They are almost always house or garden chores so I don't have to take it with me :)

I am rubbish at following recipes however.

Hold on; I'm a bit busy right now, so I've made a note-to-self to answer this later.

When I DO?  I get things done.  I procrastinate and don't make the list.

Usually people make lists and don't DO them, so clearly you are a step ahead of most :P
