Financially speaking, it is in the best interest of insurance companies that you do not file a claim, or that if you do, they find reasons

not to pay the claim.

Ok, who dreamed up this scheme?  Grrrrr.

I once worked in a motorcycle dealership and often repaired crashed motorcycles that involved insurance claims. Those adjusters were really cheap, and were not always fair about fixing things right.

It  is in the best interest of insurance companies if you never file a claim so that they can they raise your premium on the grounds that they're not making enough money to survive.

Insurance is a scam.  Most people pay more in premiums than they'll ever "get back" from the insurance company in a lifetime.

I think the Mafia invented it.
Though there were also private "police" organizations in America, who neighborhoods had to pay as well.

Don is of the mind insurance companies are legal extortion.  I'm not that harsh on them but I do know they are like Reno.  The casino's weren't built to lose.  Insurance companies weren't started to lose money yet we have to pay into to them.
I am growling with you. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I'm pretty sure it wasn't Mutual of Ohama's Wild Kingdom but it was some beast out there that knew how to make a whole bunch of money off of fear.  This post was edited by Merlin at August 22, 2018 5:00 AM MDT
