    Yeah, you may be right! I've all of his novels -- I like them all! "The Day of the Triffids" - - a sort of scary novel. I find most of his stuff has an eerie yet very realistic quality (once one goes along with the plot's main premise).

    My fave yarn of his is The Chrysalids, set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia, supposedly following a global nuclear war although not specifically stated as such.

    Unlikely, unless WQ's pubic hair is permanently moist. They're called "water bears" for a reason. They can survive being dessicated, but that generally only happens when the water they live in evaporates, they won't seek a dry environment.
