    I am pagan everyday.

I worship One God in all his/her many forms.

I can have it both ways.

I think you are in for a trick from My 2 Cents.  Just saying.....

  • Was always one of my favorite holidays:)  Even as an adult we had fantastic parties and all dressed up!  Why should kids have all the fun! lol

  • I agree! I have always enjoyed Halloween.  Vebnturing out into the vening witht he sounds of children squealing and shrieking in delight, the smell of fallen leaves, and crisp autumn air.  As  I got older, I never let maturity deter me from partaking in festivities, though

I must confess that it is someone disheartening when to look in the mirror and see what you would have dressed up as a kid staring back at me. lol

No Samhain, or Lord of the Dead, celebrations for me, I don't like scary looking people or things, not even my own reflection before 6am.

  • According to the ancients, this was the time of year when the boundry between our woirld and the world of the dead was the thinnest.  They believed that by dressing up in costumes, it was a way to keep the dead from recognizing you.

    lol

    I'm not taking any chances...

That's right, according to pagan belief the veil is thin and so supernatural spirits and the souls of the dead can cross over, many pagans partake in conjuring and banishing rituals, other's light fires to keep evil spirits away.

On Hallowmas Eve, ere ye boune to rest,
    Ever beware that your couch be blest;
Sign it with cross and sain it with bread,
Sing the Ave and the Creed.
For on Hallowmas Eve, the Night Hag shall ride
And all her nine-fold sweeping on by Her side,
Whether the wind sing lowly or loud,
Stealing through moonshine or swathed in cloud.
He that dare sit in St. Swithin's Chair,
When the Night Hag wings the troubled air,
Questions three, when he speaks the spell,
He must ask and She must tell.

    oooooOOOOooooooo!!
