What, to you, is the worst thing about being a man or a woman? Your answer may relate to your own or the opposite gender.

I'm always anxious about being a victim of contraception failure, which would be disastrous at my age.

FYI, it can be pretty intimidating being the one who has to ask. I know I had issues with asking. I think if you seem to have something, a girl asking out a guy is completely acceptable and totally flattering. Plus, this isn’t the 1950’s

1] As my age advances, the prospect of someday developing erectile dysfunction, especially to the point of complete and utter erectile failure.  I can't imagine what that will be like, but it's nothing to look forward to.

2] As my wife's age advances, the decreasing interest in having sex that some women experience, especially to the point that she may one day not want it at all. I can't imagine what that will be like, but it's nothing to look forward to.

Not having sex so often leaves a lot of mental energy available for other things.  When you don't think about it you don't miss it.

You live in your head too much.

Those things won't happen as you perceive them happening.  Relax.  My aunt and uncle did it every day until she died and she was over 80.  EVERY DAY.

So, it's up to the two humans.

Ps.  You have a typo up there, bud. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at November 12, 2018 12:37 PM MST

My wife has no interest...once she starts on the ganja, I might as well say f*** it and go to bed.

No, I'm not past 60. My answers above are based on anticipated events, not on any that have started in earnest.

  • You're letting your imagination run wild. My parents are 73 and 69, and I know they have it occasionally; not very often, but I guess they've worked out a mutually satisfying balance. I'm close enough to my mother to know that. Besides, her eyes give her away.

I suggest you keep your imagination active for the questions you post over here.

One of the worst was being overwhelmed with desire but not having anyone to share it with.  Then you may think you've found someone, you make a move or a suggestion only to get put down.  Then you feel like perv and heel.  Luckily I don't have to do that sort of thing anymore. Nice legs.

You live in your head a lot.  I don't think I could say things like you just did.  I mean there is NOTHING wrong with your take on things, it's just I cannot put myself in your place.  I view things a bit differently.

I totally get the contraception thing.  But I would never trade being a woman for being a man because of that.  I mean men have issues as well.  So, being a human is the problem to me, not being a gender.

So the biggest problem about being a woman is that she is encased in a human body.

    Same with a man.

    Life is hard.  Really hard.

You will never understand how simple we men are. I don't need sex...just someone to cuddle with.

  • I didn't say I would trade being a woman for being a man. It's just that I'm almost 47, and getting pregnant now is not an option for me.

  • Only menstruation and menopause are relevant to me. I've never had any problems with the former; the other will soon be upon me. Hope I sail through it as well.

Our physiological vulnerability.  Which is very much a function of our being created for procreation and from which comes desire, giving ourselves, receiving pleasure, conception, pregnancy, childbirth, family which are all the best things.
