I don't hate you. Why do you hate me?

Give me time, I'll think of something.

Because you hijacked my car, took off with my gal inside and eloped.

         Because people live in
    the shadows of their consciousness.
The physical realm has the only
    meaning for many people.
Love is deep in our hearts and Soul.
Hate is shallow, and found in
    the shallows of the Ego.
Let go of Ego and Hate will disappear.
People embrace the appearance of being separate
    from everything else. Until people
experience and embrace the oneness of love
forever they will be lost in the realm of the illusion.

    Because we hate ourselves.

    Those that do.

Those that don't are quite incapable of hate.

Remember what a pointed finger on a hand looks like

Every time you point your finger at someone else, there are three more fingers on that hand pointing back at you.

We hate what we recognize as flaws in ourselves.  If you are not a murderer but hate the murderer, there is something in the story that you can relate to, that causes you fear.  That is the only reason behind hatred.  FEAR.  That, and utter stupidity when it is formed by an unconscious tribe of morons.

My gaydar goes off on that guy.

But now I realize I think she is a woman. She probably hates herself for looking so much like a man.

(Forgive me for my cruelty here. I'm in a weird-ish sort of mood.)

    :)

I find it difficult to imagine me hating someone. I might hate what they do, but not them personally.

    Not all of us do.

Some people manage to forgive even the most heinous crimes committed against them.
For instance, the Australian prisoners-of-war who were slaves of the Japanese during WWII on the Burma Railway and the Kokoda Trail in New Guinea. They were starved and tortured for up to four years. Over 1300 died. Among the survivors, some have met with their former gaolers, and have offered their forgiveness.

The benefit is to the one who lets go of the anger and hatred; it allows him or her to live in peace.

Most hate is the result of having been badly or repeatedly hurt
and having no means to prevent it or do anything about it,
    or,
the result of fear of the same, regardless of whether the fear is paranoid or realistic.

I find a lot of hate comes from resentment out of jealousy.  They want what others have and can't get it so instead they hate those who have it.
