The Bush funeral was very anti- john of a don from beginning to end. The john of a don had to sit there silently and take it. Rebuked?

The final revenge of George H.W. Bush? The final retaliation?

The services were for President Bush, not tRump. tRump knew that. He took a proper stance.

Thee were plenty of eulogies that poked Trump in the eye without ever using his name, but I fear Trump may not care enough to cause him to take a good look at himself.  At this point, he isn't going to change.

That's been the beauty of the Trump presidency all along. You're right Spunky, he's not going to change but he wasn't placed in the Oval Office to change. As long as we're on the subject of eulogies, Bush 41 played golf, tennis and went fishing for four years. In death, he was elevated to the pantheon of near great presidents. Bush was a nice guy who was fired from the position after one term.

They all golf or play some sport and they are entitled to do that.  However, I suspect they didn't play every weekend in a place where they had to take Air Force One with it's attendant entourage that costs the taxpayers about $3 million per trip.  I was not a fan of his presidency, but you cannot  argue the fact that he was one of the most decent of persons, a clearly wonderful father, husband and friend.  He was the epitome of civil discourse and didn't spend all of his time talking about himself.

In his mind, he is better than everyone else - and smarter, too.  He knows everything.
